Proceed from Galway
City along the coast road through Barna and
Spiddel Irish speaking villages. See the rugged
land line along the Atlantic Ocean - the Aran
Islands in the distance, the Barren countryside
and its many lakes and stonewalls.
Head to Maam Cross
"the Cross Roads of Connemara" visit the Quite
Man Cottage, the Craft Shops and Cafes, have a
break, then travel along the inland road, see
the turf cut bogs and visit Aughnanure Castle
1500, home of the O'Flaherty Chieftains also see
the Quite Man Bridge before returning to Galway
through Moycullen Village.
